Salute is looking to hire a Network Operations Center Operator in Amsterdam the Netherlands. In this role you will be part of a rapidly growing and changing data center environment. You will work on a client project with a close-knit team that works hard with great dedication. The Network Operations Centre Operator (NOC Operator) is responsible for monitoring the technical installations and infrastructure of the EMEA data centers (air-conditioning, UPS, generators, power usage and temperatures and humidity) 24/7/365. During the shift you are available for questions from the NOC Lead, Security, management, Engineers, and customers, all in liaison with the NOC Lead and Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct and timely execution of applicable processes:
• Responding to incoming tickets / alarms and sending out work notifications
• Managing evacuations (digital)
• Escalating issues
• Keeping track of issues in ticketing
• Sending out notifications
• Monitoring CCTV and access control
• Managing all work in a correct and timely manner based on process and procedures:
• Managing ticketing
• Managing daily reports
• Making daily rounds
• Shift transfer handover
• Weekly / monthly alarm lists compilation
• Updating the NOC Lead of performed work and any noteworthy queries
• Reporting all incidents in accordance with procedures and guidelines
• Working effectively and efficiently with others within the organization

Job requirements


• Fluent in Dutch preferred and English, written and verbal
• Technical affinity preferred, or Helpdesk experience preferred
• Ability to work with computers (Microsoft office)
• Good administrative skills (capturing, documenting, and following up on problems)

This is a fixed term contract role in Schiphol-Rijk. You will work in a shift pattern (Monday to Sunday: 07:00 – 15:00 / 15:00 – 23:00 / 23:00 – 07:00). You will be required to obtain a Schneider Electric Data Center Certificate, and VCA/ BHV if you don’t have this. You will also receive other job-related training which includes obtaining technical knowledge by spending days with the technical on-site team.
