As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

IT Systems Administrator:

The IT administrator is responsible for deploying and actively managing IT end-user systems, and other related IT hardware/software in order to support day-to-day operations. This role also helps define cloud based and on-prem architecture and support of IT Operations.

Primary duties within varied scope of work and expectations will range from:

• Plans and executes technical support requirements both contracted and incidental

• Provides technical support for installing, repairing, and maintaining personal endpoint devices (desktops laptops, tablets, mobile) and related software/hardware (device agnostic)

• Resolves issues and problems within individual and group hardware and software

• System administrative duties for various cloud based and on-prem systems

• Trains and maintains resources to execute customer support activities

• AV/Video conferencing support

• Monitoring and incident resolution

• Handles escalation on delayed/unresolved problems

• Work with third party support teams to resolve issues

• Formulates and maintains information Security Protocols

• Establishes, maintains, and monitors proper backup and security processes

• Maintains SLA performance parameters

• Defines hardware standards; defines end user policies

• Actively manages end-user and other IT systems, including hardening, reporting, patch management, etc.

• Installs, tests, and configures new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software

• Maintains inventory of all equipment software and software licenses

• Manages PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software

• Performs timely hardware and software upgrades as required

Additional accountabilities:

• Assist with IT security related audits (PCI, SOS, NIST, etc.)

• Keeps abreast of emerging technology

• Assists with onboarding & off boarding users

• 100% adherence to company culture and great best practices

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience for Success:

• Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an IT Administrator, Tier 2 Help Desk with in-depth knowledge of infrastructure, or multiple infrastructure and operational roles

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing Microsoft 365 Office environment, setting up users and computers, active directory, managing email domains, monitoring, and maintaining cyber security policies and systems, managing, and maintaining SharePoint online, building and deploying computer images and configurations

• Excellent internal/external customer service skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working in a team environment but comfortable working alone with little direction

• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, time management, and planning ahead

• Demonstrated agility to pivot between competing priorities and situations

• Solid understanding of cyber security principles and best practices

• Understanding of IT security and related audit requirements

• Understanding of cloud systems administration

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment

• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly

• Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors

• Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses

• Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables

• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow

• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection

• Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

• Possess critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative where necessary
