Data Center Facilities Technician:
Hours: 6 week rotation 2 weeks days 2 weeks nights 2 weeks days
Wage: $25.00 hourly
Job Description: Multi-Skilled Operator
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Operator to provide building maintenance services to our client's facilities. The selected candidate will support on-site electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs, focusing on non-critical aspects of the buildings and grounds as directed by the Client Project Manager or designated personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance Tasks:
Perform general area cleanup to maintain a tidy and organized environment.
Conduct touch-up painting as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
Manage tool inventory and ensure tools are maintained in good working condition.
Undertake door repairs and handle the mounting of signage as required.
Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry Tasks:
Execute minor electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and addressing minor electrical issues.
Handle minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and addressing drainage issues.
Perform basic minor carpentry tasks to repair or improve building structures and fixtures.
Industrial Cleaning and Mechanical Tasks:
Address specific or immediate industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Undertake light-duty mechanical tasks to ensure equipment and systems are functioning optimally.
HVAC and Lighting Maintenance:
Monitor and replace HVAC filters and light bulbs in designated areas to ensure efficient operation and lighting.
Seasonal Tasks:
Perform snow removal during the winter season to maintain safe access to the facility.
Assist with landscaping and clean-up tasks to enhance the outdoor areas of the facility.
Special Projects:
Handle carpet cleaning or replacement projects as required.
Undertake other tasks and special projects designated by the Client Project Manager or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
Skills: Proficiency in a range of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
Hours: Full-time position with flexibility for overtime and on-call duties as required.
Certifications: Any relevant certifications or licenses related to building maintenance are a plus.
