Data Center Site Technician Lead/Door Technician:

The primary responsibilities of the Data Center Site Technician Lead are to work closely with the client to manage projects by assisting with planning, executing, and closing out work orders. The Site Lead is responsible for keeping track and staying on top of metrics (utilization, hour inputs, etc.). Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to approving timecards and attending meetings. As the Data Center Site Technician Lead, you will be a representation for the Salute team of Site Technicians and work alongside you Area Manager and with the client’s point of contact to ensure the team has everything needed to be successful in completing the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform heat exchanger cleaning.
  • Replace air filters as needed.
  • Clean cooling towers.
  • Clean generator rooms.
  • Provide other miscellaneous low risk maintenance as needed.
  • Facilitate all coordination, planning, and escorting of Salute’s maintenance personnel.
  • Provide general golf cart maintenance.
  • Provide general bicycle maintenance.
  • Provide general door repairs.
  • Supervise team of Site Technicians
  • Assist client with planning, executing, and closing out work orders.
  • Keep track and remain on top of metrics.
  • Oversee and approve Salute’s team of technicians’ hour input on timecards.
  • Attend and actively participate in all meetings.

Door Technician

  • Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
  • Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
  • Move materials, equipment, or supplies.
  • Document operational activities.
  • Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
  • Install hardware or other interior fixtures.
  • Gather information about work conditions or locations.
  • Assemble structural components.
  • Position equipment using hand tools, power tools, or heavy equipment.
  • Move large objects using heavy equipment.
  • Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
  • Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
  • Remove parts or components from equipment.
  • Drill holes in parts, equipment, or materials.
  • Fabricate parts or components.
  • Run wiring to connect equipment.
  • Cut materials according to specifications or needs.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation,
  • development or operation activities.
  • Install structural foundations.
  • Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of Data Center or Door Company experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of Leadership experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Good observation skills and problem-solving ability.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
